when you are standing at the cross road, what will you do? do you stand there and ask people for the best route to go or do you jus close your eyes and point to a direction?
i realise alot of people usually ask but never really take in the suggestions.. in their hearts, they had pointed to a direction that they feel is the best decision or maybe the right decision (for them), but they are afraid to make the wrong move..
thus, they stood stagnant and get more suggestions from people who do not use the heart to make a decision but the mind (when they aren't making decisions for themselves of cos!)..
in the end, the mind prevails but the heart aches.. or the heart wins but the mind reminds (of the consequences)..
i have heard of this: "fast decisions are usually bad decisions and good decisions are usually the hardest to make."
how true is that?
we always choose the easiest way out.. we as humans, tend to follow our hearts and how it felt at that moment, pushing away all the reminders that our minds were trying to tell us, only to regret or worry after the done deed..
saw this quote somewhere:
"My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular; you make them because they're right."
and this:
"It is not always what we know or analyzed before we make a decision that makes it a great decision. It is what we do after we make the decision to implement and execute it that makes it a good decision."
this is what we as humans always fail.. we tend to make one decision that is hard but right and then fail to keep it.. we fall back to square one, keeping to a decision that we had rejected and throwing away the one that we had intended to execute..
no wonder there's such a quote from Marcel Proust: "All our final decisions are made in a state of mind that is not going to last."
that's very true isn't it?
which to follow? which is right? which is the best decision? who's to judge..?
so...how many decisions have you made since the start of the year and have kept it? especially when it comes to the matters of heart...?
