a super duper long post. first of all, i wanna say, merry christmas to all! enjoy yourselves whatever your plans are tonight! =))

i had been very busy for the past 2 weeks with sprees and trips and gathering.

went to:

  • Genting from 14th to 16th Dec with family.
  • xmas exchange at Teo Heng KTV on the 19th Dec.
  • wh's nanny's ganddaugther's wedding dinner on the 20th.
  • our 2nd anniversary at siloso beach resort from 21st to 22nd.

and today, its already xmas eve. no plans for that (thank God).

and by next week, it will be a new year, Year 2008.

time flies.

well, anyway, let me update my "trips".

went to Genting with my mum, wh and my uncle. supposed to go with my sis, but she couldn't make it, so my uncle went instead.

Genting is a boring place, if you do not gamble, esp at the end of the year where the weather is bad. the fog was so thick, the theme park had several closed, even the rollar coaster! you couldn't see anything, not all all. the whole sky was covered with fog. =.=

thats what we see from our floor (19th).

see how bad it is?

on our way to Genting!

outside the theme park.

casino was filled with 2nd hand smoke and gamblers (obviously) and oh, people who wanted free drinks. you see, the casino provides free beverages such as coffee, tea, milo and juices (usually orange). Nestle is from Malaysia (in case u did not know). they too sell food which are nice and cheap (compared to the food courts and restaurants where food sucks and expensive).

our hotel room. =)

it is a good tactic to keep people in the casino. they settle everything in the casino so they will stay for hours and hours.

bought this for Genting. for my mum. but she couldn't wear it. so its mine. lol

one more thing, the casino has never stopped construction since it was built. its cos renovation in cantonese has the same pronounciation as banker keeps, and Mr Lin (the boss) was a very firm believer in Fengshui, thus, he believes by having construction/renovation on-going, the casino will have money flowing in. which till now, has been the case. =)

their christmas decorations.

merry christmas!

candy floss. lol.

overall, i would prefer Cameron Highlands than Genting. at least Cameron Highlands, u can really relax and enjoy fresh air.

Genting does not have fresh air, the air is filled with 2nd smoke and exhaust. i actually had my rhinitis relapse there, so much for relaxing weekend. =.=

the only thing i like about there was the temperature. i like cooling weathers!

while waiting to check out of the hotel.

our passports. =D

aren't they cute?!!

believe it or not, these are all lighters.

well, that's all i have to say about my Genting trip. nothing much. *shrugs*

as for the xmas exchange, it was.. well.. nice in a way since all of us had been busy the past one year. it rare for us to be able to meet together, esp some arent even in singapore at the moment (and wont be for quite some time).

jer couldnt come as he had family commitments. rach and anson were in melb. ericia was sick. so it were left with 7 people:

  1. jayce
  2. joy
  3. tom
  4. eddy
  5. gary
  6. me
  7. wh
we settled for KTV as well, reasons reasons reasons. =)

it's been a long time since i had xmas exchange (cant rem the last time)..

KTV was good since all of us loved singing (and those who did not weren't around =X )..

had xmas exchange.. all of us had our first christmas presents! nothing expensive, but useful! lol.

keyboard pad.

snoopy cushion

cake towel

photo frame

Mr Bean keychains

bodyshop shower gels

coffee pot candles

group photo with presents!

the funniest present we had was from gary. you should be able to recognise it if you had observed carefully when you are in 7-11. lol.

tom got that present. he got 2 as the present came in 2 parts. lol.

it was fun looking at gary when he sings. he had alot alot of expressions and actions! and he love imitating others! lol.

eddy: "cant be bothered."

wh joined in the fun for awhile (before he dozed off again)..

jayce with wh

joy with jayce

tom and joy

me and joy

the good friends: gary & wh

overall, it was good. really good. =)

as for the wedding dinner next day, as weddings go, it makes you wanna get married too. the couple were secondary classmates and met 15 years later only to fall in love and make a life together. how sweet. both of them are 27years old with stable incomes. their wedding was held at Oriental Hotel at Marina Square. It was very very cold. it seemed like the aircon was free of charge. all of us were trembling through out the dinner. =.=

it wasn't a big space but it looked warm and cosy, a kind of intimate. the food was good. different from the usual 10-course meal we had during wedding dinners. there were no ee fu mee, but chilli crab sauce with buns.

and well, as usual, people were asking for OUR wedding. its like the norm to ask about it during weddings. =.=

it was a nice dinner despite the extreme cold temperature.

supposed to meet an RMIT friend on that day, but it was too rush. gotta wait another time when she comes over to Singapore for meet up. =\

as for our 2nd anniversary, we went to Siloso Beach Resort, Roof suite with jaccuzi. well, it wasn't anything magnificant, wasn't worth the money imo. but then, it was a nice experience. =)

the roof garden suite we had (taken from their website).

the view u can see from the window (taken from their website).

the jaccuzi (taken from their website).

wh brought me to Rasa Sentosa Spa so that he had an hour to himself to decorate the suite. i was surprised, really surprised. it was my first time having spa and well, i was mildy embarrassed when i had to keep asking the lady what to do. x\

the therapist who attend to me was very friendly and patient. it was very relaxing, but i had blocked nose due to the scent. a bit hard on breathing when i was facing down, other than that was ok.

maybe i should start going to spa every month jus to pamper my skin. =P

when i went into the room, i cried. this is the first time anyone had made me so touched that i cried on the spot, really cried. not teared, but cried. i couldn't stop myself. it was so sweet of him. he did not pay people to do all the decorations, he did it all by himself.

the decorations he did all by himself.

my present for him. =)

he isn't a romantic guy by nature, so such gestures really touch my heart. he isn't those who gives flowers every month, or gives alot of presents most of the time. and this is what makes it so special. his efforts. i find that such gestures, if done too often, loses its meaning.

he didn't give expensive presents or anything, jus a bouquet of roses + tulips which meant "Lost Without You" and a Tatty Bear cushion with meaningful words. And the petal decorations. That's all. But it means so much more.

his present for me. the words that mean so much.

"Lost Without You"

which means:

You’re thinking of her. And in your heart of hearts, you know you’d be lost without her. Show just how important she is to you with this endearing bouquet of tulips, that says her smile is your sunshine, and roses, that represent her tender, loving nature.

It touched my soul. thank you. =..)

i'm blessed.. to have you. =)

Another blissful year, and the love never fades. not a bit. it jus increase. i keep falling in love with him, everytime i see him. =)

with you, i found myself.

tango? =D

a friend ever said the reason she did not have a partner is because no guy has ever made her o touched that she teared.

for me, i have found the one. cos i did not jus tear, i cried. =))

Been awhile since i went to Sentosa. It has changed alot. There is an interchange now for all the shuttle buses and monorail which you need to pay. The musical fountain is by the sea and there are only 2 shows everyday, 7.40pm and 8.40pm, which i failed to go as there were lots of people queuing since noon everyday. =.=

they are building a casino there too, with shopping centres etc etc etc which is estimated to finish by 2010. so it won't be able to finish for the first F1 crowd. oh well.. =)

we did not get to go to the beach as the weather had not been good for the past one month. rain and shine, rain and shine. saded.

only got to go to Dolphin Lagoon and Underwater World. The dolphins were really cute! and clever! haha. they are pink dophins though they are born with grey color and the color will fade into pink as they mature. nice. as for Underwater World, as expected, lots of fishes, huge fishes. alot of interesting info too. Like jellyfishes aren't fishes but primitive animals. they do not have brain, heart nor eyes. they are like corals, survive by photosynthesis. interesting (to me).

there are irritating people who did not follow instructions. there were BIG signs saying no flash light allowed (for certain species) and there is this girl who kept using flashlight! I said to her no flash light, yet, she continued doing so. I really had the urge to snatch her camera and smash it. what's wrong with all these people's brain? can't process what they are being told? are they idiots or what?

obviously, there IS a reason why flash light aren't allowed! its no surprise that in places where people get to see penguins, there are guards making sure no one uses flashlights, if not, most of the penguins would become blind. brainless #%(*$). *rolleyes*

garden eels. like worms huh?

anyway, its quite confusing in Sentosa. You can really get lost. al the roundabouts without clear signs where different places are. darn. didn't get to visit all the places this time. shall go again sometime next year when the weather is good.

well, that summarises my 2 busy weeks.

2008 is coming (next week). i wonder what will change in the new year. my job? how much will my life change in the new year again? i used to worry about such things. but since being with wh, i don't anymore.

as wh says, "why worry about things you can't control?" it doesn't help."

so now, i am not worried. in fact, i look forward to it as i believe, it will be another blissful year for me. =)

may all of you (reading) have a great year ahead too! Merry Christmas & a happy 2008!! (^^)
